I got a HP Pavilion dv9030us notebook the other day and at first the fan didn't run all the time. Today, I've noticed the fan seems to be running all the time!!! Why is this? I noticed it now because before the notebook was pretty silent now its a little bit louder all the time!!! Please give me some suggestions on what the problem is, or if there is no problem. I'm not familiar with laptops at all.

If it is still under warranty, I suggest you bring it to HP for servicing. There is really something wrong with it and having it diagnosed will pinpoint the cause. Good luck!

the fan keeps your computer from overheating. if it's on, the pc is getting hot. i would need more info to answer better. i wouldn't worry about it. just shut down every once in awhile...
