If you are talking about baby food then all baby food is fortified with vitamins and minerals that your baby needs. But you will want to ask your doctor what the baby needs to eat everyday. It is like adults or children they recommend 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Or 1 serving of meat a day. It is the same way with babies. Just speak with your doctor and ask what the baby should be eating after they turn 4 months, because that is when they start solids.

There are vitamins and nutrients in everything you eat.

Some people may argure that making your own baby food is better than the store bought food.

You could also give your child the liquid vitamins made for small children. My kids were on those at my pediatricain recommendation their entire "babyhood." The ones with iron are best in the beginning. Ask you pediatrician.

Baby food jars are much better today than they used to be. I use them at times in a pinch when I haven't had a chance to cook anything. To be honest with you it's much healthier to make your own baby food (not to mention more economical & tastier too). What I did was make a big batch of pureed veggies, fruit or meat, place them into icecube trays and right when they are frozen remove them from the tray into freezer bags. I would place 2 cubes (approximately 2 tablespoons) into each bag. Approximately 1/2 before my son's mealtime I would take out a bag to heat up. Very easy.
