Normally you see the equation where energy = mass times velocity squared, as in the speed of a train or automobile. When converting matter to energy, by splitting the atoms apart, the particles of the atom move at the speed of light, so Einstein substituted C(speed of light), for V(velocity)C is easier than saying (1.86 times 10 to the 5th power)-squared. As far as the proof, I could only guess it has something to do with calculating the forces within the atom that are required to keep all those positive protons packed together, since the normal laws of physics say that like charges repel each other. The calculations must equal enough force to accelerate the particles to the speed of light once the energy is released!

Meaning: energy and matter are covariant or interchangeable. one can be converted into the other and vice versa under the right conditions. The right conditions are found when joining or fusion and/or splitting or fission of atomic nuclei.
Right now, the Sun is converting approx 400million tons of hydrogen into helium every second through the process of fusion. A result of the process is a photon or quanta of electromagnetic radiation. The resultant mas of the helium nuclei does not equal the total original masses of the hydrogen nuclei. Some of the matter was converted into energy. The ratio for this conversin is given by the E=mc^2 equation.
Two of the first scientists to observe this sometime around the 1930s were Lise Mittner [sp?] and her nephew. They were conducting fission--or splitting-- epxeriments and kept finding their resulting matter totals did not add up to the original totals going into the fission process. But, each split kept giving off approx 200 million eV of energy as a by product. When they plugged in Einstein's equation into their work, it explained where the energy was coming from and where the matter had "disappeared" to.

that's an outstanding inquiry. One. permit's see Albert Einstein attain what Newton did, had Einstein been born in the comparable time. And 2. permit's learn what Isaac Newton could accomplish have been knowledgeable in modern-day skills of physics. AND, on account that of neither of them can do the two, i could say that Newton became into smarter. As now not simplest was once he a physicist, yet additionally an Alchemist. engaged on the right thank you to transform rely. besides as rather the philosopher. He had dissimilar theories on non-physics linked issues. Like faith, and others.

The meaning energy=mass*speed of light squared. Mass supposedly can be converted into energy. Has been proven, no its still a theory. For those who say o go look at a nuclear bomb. Actually the matter is still their its just broken up into different particles and in the process energy is released. Or if you totally against it then look absolute motion theory.

In a beginner level, Mass is a form of energy.
You will learn the partial proof once you are in Quatum Physics studies. However, there are 2 practicals proof for your believe..
1. Atom Bombs.
2. Mass of a Life body will decrease as if the life body dead

Energy can be transformed into matter, and vice versa. How much energy converts to how much matter is determined by that equation, where E denotes energy, M denotes mass, and the "C squared" means the speed of light squared.

Meaning: That matter and energy are embodied in each other and the constant of proportionality is c^2, where c is the speed of light.
Proof: Quite beyond the scope of what could be entered here.
