Well, I did it and I got a really bad infection and I was sick for months so I don't recommend it. The better option is to go to a tattoo and piercing place so you can get it done safely. If that's not an option, ask for that for Christmas from your parents. If that's not an option wait until you're 18. I wish I had because now I have a hole in my stomach that won't ever go away.

it rather is approximately as risky as attempting to do away with your gallbladder your self. it rather is surgical operation for heaven's sake! Wait till finally your 18. abdomen button piercing for 14-15 365 days olds isnt possibly the 'look' you opt to have now besides, have self concept me.

Why take the chance of getting an infection. I don't think it would cost to much to have it done. It would probably cost less that having surgery to have it removed. The right person would know how to do it with a little pain as possible.

I have no problem with you getting your belly button pierced. But its very dangerous to do it yourself. you could risk infection.

its hard to do it on your own. i had my belly botton pierced and they guy used a forcep to pull the upper skin then pierced it with a needle with the ring on it. so when he pulled the needle the ring was already on. i don't know what gadget was that. but if you're going to do it, ask another person to do it for you. and use a diffrent needle.. i don't know what its called but its a shape of a semi circle and choose a bigger gauge.

Are you for real? First of all....there was a mom in Massachusetts who got 7 years in jail for not attending to her daughters SELF PIERCING belly button. Read here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15433786/
This girl almost died. You are NOT to pierce your own belly button. For goodness sakes alive. Gheeesh

My advise would be to get it done professionally. I'm sure its not expensive and then you would not risk infection and they would give you proper after care advice. Bring a friend along to hold your hand and you can chose a nice pretty piercing.
I know you don't care what we think about you doing it yourself but please don't be poking needles in yourself....please? Listen to auntie Meggie.

I agree with Tish on this one... I've heard wayyyy too many stories of self-piercers who have ended up with infections and/or improper piercings due to trying to do it themselves.

take the skinat the top of the nave(where its really thin) and slide the needle in doward your spine at an angle.(youll have to judge the angle for your own body. Slide the needle tru and insert the piercing.
