Most births as well as deaths are a matter of public record. Go to your local county registrar/recorders office. They should have every thing you need. Oh, BTW you will need the mothers maiden name as well as the name she is using now.

Most hospitals do not list the births anymore. I think it has to due with all the crazies out there. I would suggest the department that deals with birth certificates.

the hospital should have a register of it or the birth certificate office. You may need a very good excuse to be allowed access however.

There are birth certificates but I am unsure as to how you would search them. Call your city hall and ask.
Hospitals typically list their newborns with pictures for family that you can search.

try genes reunited they have birth names if you can provided mothers name and aprox age you might be able to find some thing on there
