Oh geez yes. My mom used to sit and listen in to the neighbors for hours.
I remember being so annoyed when you could make a call cause the old hag up the street was on line.

You bet. For awhile I was a phone operator at our station on a hill top and I'd get about five folks on one line just talking.

Omg yes, my grandma had a party line and what fun it was. Now I know it was wrong but us kids had so much fun eaves dropping. Thanks for the memory.

they still exist! my friends moms boyfriend has one. He gets a different kind of ring when someone calls for him... weird!
