Why does a "convenience store" have to be a gas station?
We don't need a gas station at every red light that pops up, and we sure don't need two of them. Gas should be something that is convenient, yes. But... do we have to have so many of them on our connecting roads from neighborhood to neighborhood?
Why not just have a good old safe store you can go to with the kids to and get a candy bar and a soda pop for a treat every now and then? Maybe I'm just old and can't turn and face the strange?

I remember when...
Do you?
Oh, by the way... for those of you who want to...
Don't tell me not to give my kids a candy bar and a soda pop either. It's RARE that I do it, and we ALL just want the best for our kids in the long run, hence the reason for my question.
I don't give thumbs down for any of your answers EVER, so just know that. I only ignore you or give a thumbs up if I like your answer.

Rock on mom. Not all convience stores are gas stations though. We have a rare few in Wisconsin that you can go to to just get the necessities. Then there are the grocery stores. I would like to build my own town!

i guess thats just the competative nature of the companies. if there are 2 'convenience stores' at one intersection, they are competing for your service. maybe you can convinc everyone you know to just go to one of them and then the other will go out of business leaving just one gas station. but then again, thats not very nice. sure just one would be nice, but you dont really have a choice as to wether or not there's another one built.

o yea and I loved your use of Ch ch ch ch Changes!

Yes i can understand your concern. My child is ten and i have to get out the car and walk with him a few feet just to make sure a manic isn't speeing in the parkin lot. Kids are so short. I'd prefer if they had a area for cars where people where not allowed and vice versa then that way we won't clash.

Most of the convenience stores around here do NOT have gas pumps attached to them.

I don't think it has to be a gas station. It can be a regular corner store.
