Just fill with a couple inches of hot water & pour in bleach & let it set. I had the same trouble, looked like it had never been cleaned

If its soap scum build up I use those dummy credit cards that you receive in the mail or some type of flexible plastic scraper and gently scrape away, or another method is fill the tub with just enough water (warm or as hot as you can stand to put your hands in) to cover bottom then add a bunch of vinegar and salt and let sit for a few the scum should become gooey and come off with a household scrub brush or the like, then just wipe down weekly with mr clean erasers or magic reach.....hope this works for ya'.....i just thought of another thing you could try its a powder that restaurants and gas stations use to clean their coffee pots I don't know what its called but its some kind of coffee pot cleaner powder I will try to find it because that stuff is awesome.....

Wet it down and sprinkle it with some IRON-OUT let it sit about 5 minutes and lightly scrub should come right up. Or if the tub is castiron there is some kinda spray epoxy or enamel that you just refinish the whole tub with I cant remember what it is called though. Dont use Latex that wont work

I use something called scrub free and a nail brush and i spray the scrub free on the bottom of the tub and scrub like mad and I can get the black off no problem. and I have a bathtub with a built in slip ridges on the bottom, meaning ridges not an acutal mat and dirt gets locked in their easily.

You can get a new tub placed over the old tub pretty cheap. Just go by Home Depot and ask. Take a picture of the stain and also take that with you so they can help you identify what type of stain it is.....mildew, soap scum, lime....all require different treatments. X-14 is my favorite though....

unless it's fiberglass..... bleach. fill it with water about 1/4 of the way (or wherever it's dirtiest) and then a gallon of bleach -let it sit for a day and then drain.

if it's really bad you can fet a full tub liner or get it reglazed.

You should try toilet bowl cleaner. It has a really strong scent though so use gloves and a mask. I work at a resort and they use toilet bowl cleaner to get the bathrooms their cleanest. I hope this helps.

Lysol, bleach, ammonia, and ajax. But dont mix the ammonia and bleach together or you will get some kind of chemical reaction and risk passing out.
