"You bring out the best in me..."
That's something i've always wanted to hear from someone...
I think this has something to do with my fascination with 'As Good As It Gets' when Nicholson is trying to save his butt with Hunt and says "the point... the whole point of what i'm trying to say here is... you make me want to be a better man".

He he, humble opinion?
I used to think they were the ones about how fantastic one appears, but I've learned the highest compliment one can pay is one of respect.

I suppose commending your community service, doing it in public like at a conference or forum. Imagine receiving a plaque or an award/certificate for your achievements and you didn't know it was coming? What an honor that would be.
Or how about being asked to lead a committee of other community leaders in some very important project? Being told you are the best person for the job, hands down.
Or that one person (opposite sex) you always desired so much comes up to you and says that they'd been in love with you forever and would you go out with them to some event (as an escort or date).

The highest compliment someone can pay me, is to compliment my parents, both of which are now gone, and both of which I admired and loved very much.

For me, it's that I'm good at the things I love to do, such as writing. I tend to second-guess myself often when it comes to writing or just showing others what I know. I am not a leader, so displaying those qualities that leaders have is something I hesitate to do.

Three separate men I have met in my life have told me I was the "best woman they had ever met--kind, decent, beautiful". I respected them so their words meant something to me. Two of them are dead now and one is still a friend.
