I just got hired to a fianance firm. I've been working here for 1 month. I was placed in a cubicle that had a very large, very noisy printer right next to me that the manager refused to move. However, the manager gave me permission to allow me to move to another cubicle. I just moved my stuff, and I am scared about what others will think and say when they see me (tomorrow morning) in another cubicle. Everyone in the office is going to question me, and ask me why I moved, and look at me weird. What should I tell them? How should I act and feel? All suggestions and Comments are welcome.

Tell them you moved because your previous cubicle was too noisy because it was so close to the printer. No worries, they'll understand.

I sit right next to a printer also. It can be annoying. I wouldn't worry about what they think. Just tell them that the noise from the printer was distracting. I really don't think that they are going to be that concerned about it.

purely tell them the printer is too loud. Theres not something incorrect with that reason. transferring booths isn't something weird and wonderful or out of the conventional. Act organic. adjustments are made for the more effective.
