where? and did it hurt? what were u thinking when u were shot?

Another thing that happened across town was I was shot. On a rooftop, early 1980s I was there with others all of a sudden they run down the ladder. I hear a cop, in a slightly slurred voice say, Stop or I'll shoot. He was on the next building over, separated by twenty feet of alley. I think yeah let me shoot this. But he fires a shot hitting my left side, leaving me bleeding like the proverbial pig. I stumble downstairs and get yanked into an apartment where the wound stops bleeding. But I'm a survivor.

Yes I have, about 11 years ago. It was a 357 Magnum from point blank range with a wadcutter bullet. It just barely missed my heart and spine. When it hit, it instantly numbed my whole body (which could have been shock) and I couldn't even tell where I'd been shot. I said "I can't believe you shot me",saw the huge (and rapidly growing) puddle of blood, and the last thing I remember is a falling sensation. If my roommate hadn't called 911 immediately, and if they hadn't gotten there in only 2-3 minutes (because the ambulance just happened to be going down the road a block away when they got the call), I would have died. Oh, and my doctor recently wanted to give me an MRI in order to see what's causing my neck and back pain (I've also been through several windshields and have titanium plates holding the left side of my face together), but I can never have an MRI because of the bullet fragments still in me. Overall, I would say...Not a good experience, don't try it.

I was shot with a twelve gauge shotgun through a room. It came through and hit me on the left side of my face. There was a couch there and my mothers boyfriend was laying there thank god. It went over him and came for me. If he was sitting upright it would have beheaded him. I got splattered with buckshot and im still findind it to this day. I was so scared and still have nightmares. It wasnt fun by any meens. I remember the neighbor holding a towel over my face because they didnt know how much of it was gone, scary!. I did survive with no horrible face deformations, im so lucky! I do have nightmares from time to time. It didnt hurt at the time because it seemed surreal. I kept think at the time that i was gonna die and i was scared.

I haven't, but my grandpa was. He was deer hunting and was climbing a tree with his gun. The safety was on, but it must've caught on a branch, because it went off, shooting him in the stomach. I'm guessing it hurt a ton, and he probably thought he was gonna die. He didn't though, because somehow the bullet missed every vital organ. The only thing he lost was his belly button, cuz there's a skin graft there. (They had to cut a hole and get in somewhere) That was about 10 years ago, and he's fine.

my ex boyfriend was shot in his left leg during the war in Iraq in 91... he says it burned as hell...and it hurt alot as he tried to run for cover..as for his thoughts....he was too worried of getting killed on site, so he ran for cover as his team kept shooting their enemies

Yes, (ex military). The bullet actually pierced the cheap Armour and believe me it HURTS!!!!!!!!!!

i did long time ago ,ano it did not hurt when it happen my body went num then 2 hours latter ya i had a clappesed lung ,end up blind in 1 eye ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,well no joke
