Hiya Kyle
I got circumcised at 22. But I wanted to get it done, for the same reasons as you, when I was a teenager. I didn't because, also like you, I didn't wanna feel awkward with my parents. It was a mistake waiting: 1. by the time I got circumcised, my foreskin got so tight I needed to be, 2. when (much later) I did tell my parents they were fine about it and said that, if that's what I needed or wanted, they'd have paid for it earlier and 3. you get a better job done and it heals quicker the younger you are.
It's not particularly painful when healing up and, as other people have written to you, done under local or general anaesthetic anyway. A good idea is to wear briefs, rather than boxer shorts, for a while afterwards.
I'm really happy that I'm now circumcised.
Good Luck!
Nick

Be glad your parents left you whole. There are no health advantages to being cut - none whatsoever. If you take regular showers, then there is no hygiene advantage either. If you stink it's because you didn't wash, not because you have your whole penis intact.
How much it hurts is not the question you should be asking - it's what you will be lacking for the rest of your life. It's not good to cut off a functional healthy body part for the sake of vanity. The foreskin is there for a reason - it protects the glans (head) of the penis. When it's gone, you'll have to develop a scar-like surface on the glans to keep the rubbing on your clothing from being painful. That cuts way down on your sensitivity. It also makes it kind of scratchy for your partner.
Don't do it!

The procedure in an adult male envolves some discomfort and pain. You will have to go for out patient surgery or possible overnite. Then after surgery you will have to heal and you will want to avoid erections for a few weeks. Then you will have to deal with the extra sensitivity until the glans adjusts to exposure and becomes less sensitive. Good luck

I was circumcised as an adult and it was not painful at all. Afterwards, while your penis is healing, you will experience some discomfort during nocturnal erections, as the stitches are stretched, but this will pass and you will begin to discover all the many benefits of being circumcised. As for telling your parents - I suggest that you tell your mother first and let her discuss it with your father. That will be easier for both of you. Good luck with your circumcision.

If you get circumcised you will be saying goodbye to the full experience of male orgasm for the rest of your life. You'll be cutting off all of the touch-sensitive tissue of your penis, and what you'll be left with to bring you to orgasm is the glans, which is only pressure sensitive. That's half of your penis's capability for sensation, into the trash.
The foreskin is really like a "mini vagina" - it keeps the glans in contact with what is loves, skin. What go and chop that off? Come to your senses, man...! I suggest you learn more about the foreskin, or just start learning more about sex, you'll realize the foreskin is the greatest sex toy that you will ever lay your hands on.

Well i think the pain issue has been pretty wel answered on here but about your parents..you can sit down w/ them (doesnt have to be both, try talking w/ which ever one you're more comfortable w/) and tell them that you've been thinking about this for awhile and really want this done, be sure to let them know how important this is to you!

It's not painful...you would need a surgeon that can perform it for you under anesthesia. (A urologist) You will be a bit tender and somewhat sore...but nothing to be afraid of. As for your parents, explain to them that you wish to be circumcised as you would have more confidence when showering in the gym with other guys at school and you just wished you were. If they are understanding they will do it...if it is for religious beliefs you may have a harder time and may have to wait until your 18. My best to you and I hope you feel better about not being afraid to talk to them and/or to have it done if you chose to move forward. Take care.

Do you go for regular physicals every year or so? Ask your doctor then.
Or you could just wait until you're 18 or 21 and paying for your own medical care, and have it done at that time.

I used to perform circumcisions in the service. It is slighly painful for an adult. You are correct that their are health advantages to being circumcised. At you age I would recommend you go ahead with it.
