When I look down on it the purples turn pink and when I look up it's blue. I'm curious why.

ok I know that all flat screens do this and I know its is the light that causes it. I am wodering why it does.

LCD screens are meant to be looked at from +/-15 degrees direct viewing.

The colors are created by changing the properties of each pixel to refract the light at different angles to produce colors. (prizm effect) So viewing at a different angle will change the color.

Because that's how the flat screen monitors are. They are only designed to be viewed at certain angles so the colors look differnt because the light isn't coming at you the same way.
But there's nothing wrong with your monitor.
