I had sex this weekend for the first time...the first time, he only went in half way and the second time, he went in all the way, but my hymen did not break or bleed. Does it actually have to tear/break in order to actually "lose" your virginity or did I lose it simply because he penetrated me? He's not small, but he has been fingering me for a couple months and also through masterbation, I think it has stretched so maybe it won't break at all??? It also did not really hurt all that much like I've heard it's supposed to. I asked him, though and he said that he was all the way in.

Your virginity isn't really judged by whether or not you have a hymen. Many girls break their hymens with tampons.

You DID lose your virginity. He penetrated you.

I'm not goin' to be rude to you like all these other people on here, but to answer your question, no, you aren't a virgin any more. Any time you have penile penetration, you lose your virginity. If you broke it through masturbation or fingering, it still means your a virgin. Also, FYI, you CAN NOT break your hymen by inserting tampons, despite what anyone says. They're just not long enough to break it. You can break it through exercise, dancing, riding a horse, etc... Some women are even born without them. So therefor stating, whatever happens to your hymen in ANY WAY, does NOT determine whether or not your still a virgin. I've researched this top for a long time to know this.

You could say that technically you are still a virgin as the hymen has not broken which is the scientific method of testing. Also the hymen can stretch like you have said.
But since the social standard is actually having sex as the end of a girl being a virgin then you definitely are no longer a virgin.
It wouldn't seem to make sense to say yes i've had sex before, but i'm still a virgin now would it?

There are many ways for a hymen to break and the girl would still be considered a virgin. Having sex with penetration means that you are no longer a virgin.

You are no longer a virgin if you have had sex. If you didn't feel your hymen break it was likely already broken from previous physical activity or from wearing a tampon. Or it could have just stretched. A doctor would have to give you a physical exam to find out for sure.

You are no longer a virgin simply because he penetrated. It doesn't matter whether or not it hurt or whether or not he "popped your cherry". Many women's hymens have already been stretched before they've had sex and therefore bleed little and experience little pain when they do become sexually active.

Breaking a hymen isn't a signal of losing your virginity. You are no longer a virgin. The hymen is easily broken by inserting tampons, riding a bike, etc. You could have broken it long ago.

It is how you look at it really. I would personally think you were not a virgin anymore as you did have sex.

Though you can break your hymen without sex eg tampons or mastubation. And some people say if you break your hymen you are not a virgin anymore. Which is crap.

So my opinion? You are not a virgin anymore.

You are definitely not a virgin anymore, you hymen could have broken during fingering or masturbation, there does not necessarily have to be bleeding. Hope that helps.

No, you are no longer a virgin.

FYI...in the future, it's generally not a good thing to ask a guy if, ahem, "he was all the way in".

Not a very flattering question to ask.

You don't sound old enough to ask this question.

Here's a thought -- less sex and more education. More education would have prevented you from having to ask a bunch of strangers if having sex meant you weren't a virgin anymore.
