well....you need to sit down and have a talk with her and tell her all the great things she has in life, and tell her that u don't want to lose her. And tell her that if at times when she does not feel loved to write it in a diary or something, just some place to get her feelings out on

Ok. I was 8 and I wanted to kill myself. I siad it was because life is pointless, but now that I look back it was probably because I wanted attention. My brother was 5 at the time and had my parents attention. So I guess I would suggest spending time with her and definately telling her parents. She might not want you to do that, but she will thank you later.
Best of luck!

Suicide is not about wanting to die, but about a powerful need for pain to end.
Sounds like there is something going on that you are not aware of. Could be in the family, neighborhood, church, school, etc. What she is feeling is that she is unable to cope. This could be because she is feeling hopeless, helpless, etc.
I'm happy she has someone like you that does care about what she does.
See if she will talk to you about it. Would be nice if she had a teacher or couselor that she could talk to about this.

That's a tough situation 2 b in. Don't try 2 help alone - do her parents know about it? Maybe she feels they don't understand. U can help her find trusted adult 2 confide in - teacher, clergy?

Tell her teacher, school nurse or better yet, her family. Do not keep it hidden, as you can prevent it from happening. A real friend would help her as much as you could.

I think you should tell her parents and suggest they seek professional help for her urgently.
