I didn't meet this celebrity, but heard about the experience first hand. This couple was in Kansas City and went for brunch at some hotel. It must have been early... or late, because it was just them and another guy eating. It turned out the guy was Lee Greenwood. Somehow they managed to introduce themselves, so they ate together, Lee kept getting up and getting things for the couple, salt, pepper, more pancake syrup etc... how down to earth can you be?

I did meet George H Bush one time, and had a beer with Richard Nixon's brother.

I was an active musician for many many years, and met numerous musicans as I opened for them.
The guys in Styx (for the most part) were really great, and took the time to say "hello".
The guys from that particular version of Molly Hatchet took the time to watch our show (which most won't) and to offer us hand shakes and great shows.
Blackie Lawless was an arrogant *** who felt he was too good to be meeting us, and who seemed to be irritated that he wasn't a major player in teh music industry any longer.

I am also a professional wrestling manager for an indie promotion, and have met several professional wrestlers in the course of it. The best were George "the Animal" Steele, Shawn Michaels, and Gene Snitzky (who was my son's football coach, believe it or not). The worst were Bruno Sanmartino, Roddy Piper, and Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka.

Not only did I meet a celecrity years ago, I acutally ran him over in a Casino.
The year was about 1975 at Lake Tahoe in Harveys Casino. I was fresh out of college and walking very fast through the casino talking to my boyfriend (now my hubby) behind me. I was not looking where I was going and I plowed right into a little short guy. He fell on the floor, got up, looked my in the eye and walked off. It was SONNY BONO (of Sonny and Sher). He wore these huge elevator shoes to look taller but he still hit my chest and I am 5'9" tall. I still remember him hitting my breast and falling down. He was in his bell bottom black suit with red necktie. It was quite the HOOT.
I moved to Lake Tahoe in 1984 and lived there 20 yrs. I always remembered that when I was at the casinos. And unfortunately, Sonny Bono died in Lake Tahoe at Heavenly Ski Resort in the late 90's early 2000. I was devistated that he died while skiing there. He hit a tree (just like hitting into me) head first and died.

This one is for Sonny.

I have met a few celebrities. Joan Jett before a concert she gave. She pulled up in her limo to the park where she was performing. About 6 of us were standing by a tree and she walked over and chatted with us. Was really nice lady. Met country singer Ronnie McDowell, was at a hotel where he gave a performance. Met his nephews and they took me and my friend on the tour bus to meet the band. Then when we were on our way back to our hotel rooms, Ronnie was passing us in the hall, and we brief thanked him for the kindness and great show. Met the entire Hart wrestling family in Las Vegas, as we were dining next to each other. Didn't speak to them tho as people were really disturbing their family dinner. I didn't want to be rude and interrupt them.

I've met BarlowGirl (Christian band, they're the cousins of one of my best friends) and been to an American Idol concert. If it counts, Sandy Alomar Sr. signed my cast when I was a little kid! So no, not really!! I would love to meet Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie, and so many more though! I'm jealous of my family that lives in LA/Beverly Hills though...my cousin says he sees celebs walk down the street every day!

I met Nelson Mandela in 2004.

It was at a formal dinner. It was awesome meeting him, but he was a lil senile at his old age. He wasnt very coherent but who cares.

That man is an icon.

He is an amazing man and i admire what he stands for. It was an honour to meet him and it was all by fate.

I am still in awe when i think about meeting him.

I met Pat Morita in a hotel bar in Hawaii. He was a real cool guy. He acted the same off screen as on screen. We hit it off great. I met Babe Ruth when I was very young, maybe 5 or 6. I don't remember anything of it.
