New consoles in 2007 will. But hopefully, they will release a DVD add-on. Personally, I don't mind the absence of the DVD right now. It would be a nice add-on though.

I would be prepared to put money on there being a DVD playing Wii everywhere in the 24 months following release.

dont think so but i think its gonna be a big flop for 250 or what ever its going for is too mutch for that i would rather buy a xbox and buy a mod chip for a 100 bucks and be able to play and burn any game from any console

nintendo has always focused strictly on gaming they havent bothered with dvds and music cds in past and i dont think they will start now. games are their primary focus.

Last I heard, it was a separate add-on. I'm sure most people already have one, you can get them pretty cheap nowadays.
