Have you tried reading them out loud? You will be busy talking, and pick up pieces here and there. Then you can go back and read what you missed silently. That helps sometimes. Or, it just may be that you have to have more time to process what you're reading. It's ok. keep plugging away.

- Become a more visual reader by picturing some of the words in your head
- Skim through the material/key points; and then read it over a second time more carefully (you can also read the text over again until you fully understand the material and are able to read at a faster rate)
- Grouping words in your head
- Read chunks of information/look at a group of words
- Increase your fluency and practice to able to recognize words accurately

Just practice, and you will get it. It takes time, though.

To become a faster reader and read for comprehension, you should read more often, and skim- picking up the most important parts.

But if all you want is to read gaster, you should just skim- reading every other word or so. But if you read more, then you will read faster and you're English with improve considerably.
