My 4 1/2 month old still has 6-7 bottles containing 7-8 ounces a time as well as cereal and fruit or veggies twice a day and she is doing great...She is all together maybe 15 lbs now..Every baby is different and it all depends on the growth spurts that they encounter and how long each one lasts..You have to remember that part of a growth spurts job is to stretch the tummy because it wants more food so every time it does this the next feeding he/she is hungry...Boys are heavier too and some studies prove they can grow up to more than 50% heavier than girls...I hope this helps....Just feed him whenever hes hungry and he'll be a happy happy baby!

Well, 40 oz a day is a little much. But, if your baby is healthy and happy then don't worry. He knows when he is hungry better than anyone else. Just try to ease up by giving him water or diluted juice. Also give many mini-meals, like snacks of cheerios, pears, cooked vegetables...ect.
Oh yea, DO NOT GIVE HIM WHOLE MILK yet. My doctors have all said wait until one year. The enzymes and things in the milk are not easily broken down by a 7 month old baby

Yes that sounds okay.Thats close to what my daughter eats. They start to eat alot around this time because they are getting ready for a growth spirt. So dont worry if your baby seems chubby. As long as he is between 15-20 pounds hes okay. If you think he might be over eating try cutting back on the baby food, not the formula because that should be the main thing in his diet.

It sounds about right. I mean if your doctor does not see a problem in that i think it is fine. Is he having bowel movements normally? If he is eating then that is fine. Just as long as he is gaining weight. Speak with his doctor and they will let you know if he is gaining enough weight. The girl above me said 24 oz a day. That is just 3 bottles a day. Your baby needs to consume more than that or he can become dehydrated.

if he is weeing and pooing okay and his belly is not feeling tight, then he is just enjoying his food. try feeding him on homecooked food. like mashed potato or pumpkin or apple, you don't need to add anything. Real food is more satisfying. It is not recommended to give whole milk till over 12months because of digestion and tolerance issues.

Why ask us? Ask your doctor. Is he thriving? Is he overweight? Underweight? Your Dr. can advise. Maybe it's time for a more varied diet....
