Basically I'm having a hard time fitting into some jeans (after baby) and I finally found some that fit around the waist. Well they are too long so I cut them at the bottom. How or what method of stitching can I use to go around the bottom so that they dont Frey alot? Mind the fact that I've been out of home ec for about six of seven years.

Since you sound like you don't have a sewing machine, find a friend to sew it for you and can teach you to do it yourself.
