I recommend Top Producer over ACT. I've used both with the company I work for and TP is much better, in my opinion.

Top Producer is a web-based database so you can access if from any computer that is online. It has really good features for keeping track of clients, assigning clients to agents, making flyers, etc. I find it to be very user friendly and the support staff if very helpful. After watching the training videos online for TP I was able to use the database without little to no problem. TP can also be used for website development for real estate agents. They help you create a site tailored to you and the clients you are inspired to help. They do a great job of it, too. Again, very helpful and easy going tech support staff.

I've had bad experiences with ACT in the past. An assistant at our company was supposed to back up the ACT database one evening and accidently erased the program from the backup disk somehow. Since the version of ACT we used was not web-based, the info was gone. We had no way of retrieving it and tech support was not only less than helpful but, rather rude about it too.
