Well, why do rich people have babies? Rich people usually have babies as a status symbol. Take for instant Brad and Angelina. Are the preggers again? I think they are and who will be taking care of their 2nd child, along with Angelina's adopted children?

Can you say, "Status Symbol"?

Although, far be it from me to judge the rich and oh so powerful who are doing nothing to help 'the poor' in our nation. Oh, that is right, 'the rich' only help those poor in the Third World. My bad for seeing that America has only provided these rich people with money to do as they wish.

It seems to have evaded these rich people that the money they make 'in the states' could never, ever be made in Europe or a Third World nation where they bribe and purchase other peoples babies.

Okay, so, why do poor people have babies. When a baby comes into this world, they do not ask their parent or parents, "If you are poor, why did you have me?" Babies are not biased, they just want love, to be fed and be taken care of. If babies are not biased, you should not be either.

Define poor and why. Many lower middle working class are defined by society as poor yet can provide all the basics and a lot of love. Many people who are just non materialistic and focus more on family than a high income choose to have more babies because that is important to them. Children are expensive and take a sizeable amount of income. Perhaps they were not "poor" to start with but are now. To them it's worth it because they are rich in family and love.
In some situations, it is sad to say, but many people who are in a cycle of poverty for negative reasons (ie: drugs, abuse, neglect etc) choose babies because it is someone to love and someone they think will love them. Not the right reason for sure but sadly true.
So I suppose that there are two answers to the question depending on the reason why finances are low.

Why do rich people have children and let others raise them?
At least most "poor people" take care of their own kids and don't leave it up to a nanny or someone else to do it for them. And as some one else pointed out many hard working middle class family's still fall under income guidelines that would say they were close to or at poverty level.

Probably because they have less access to birth control and they're not as educated. And yes, I also agree with the first statement. I cant believe so many people gave her a thumbs down. It's the truth. I have seen so many lower class druggies have kid after kid just so they can collect more welfare. Does the truth hurt you offended people for some reason? However, not all lower class people are addicts and those ones deserve to experience the joy of babies just as much as the rest of us.

Having children is not a privilege that only rich people get. As much as I would like to see people be financially established before they take on the enormous financial burden of another child, they have the right to do it when ever they want. Without your judgment. Go figure!

Some of them actually "make it" fine. There are some people out there that would rather have kids than a large TV or what have you new electronics that are out. Thus making them poor in some people's eyes.

Alot of the time these people have one kid and see how easy it is to live off of everyone elses paychecks (state support) and they just keep on popping them out thinking they are ok to do so.
