I'm emo, and I don't see how much different we are from what is considered normal. For gothics, with the exception of the fashion, I don't see that much difference unless you stereotype (which is a stupid thing to do in my opinion).

Please no mean posts.

George,
You know what? It was the same thing in the 60's with the hippies and the flower children and the loud music and long hair before all the goth's and EMO's. There is a part of society that just has to find a villan to express an unfavorable attitude about.

On the other hand, there are many, good intentioned, that think that we must understand every movement around.

I think that some people need to understand, and some do not. I think that being kind in every way possible is the good way to be, but the EMO, Goth, Punk, or whoever attempts to set themselves apart as far as looks goes, especially extremes, should not be too surprised when they are stared at. The statement that their appearance is announcing is, "I am against the status quo, accept me or f' off." And so society that is not used to the display is going to stare. Count on it.

Being rude on either side of the issue might be unavoidable, but we can all attempt to make the best of it.

That being said, I like EMO's. So far, anyway. I really haven't met any, but I have caught a few vids on them, they don't seem so awful.

Goths? After having sex with a Goth, I think that they are just like anyone. Nothing special, but nothing to treat poorly.
