You do not say what year vehicle (it looks like you missed typing it). With some of the older ones, the transmission will lose its program when the battery is disconnected. Depending on the year, you may need to allow the car to relearn the shift points, or you may need to have the transmission computer re-programed!

Check under the hood and make sure that you don't have any "shorting wires" -- (making contact with the shifting mechanism coming down from the steering column. there are a lot of wires jammed in between the engine and the firewall, - if they rub, - the insulation could be rubbed off, and electricity contacting with metal is "bad news", -- it could be just contacting momentarily, -- making the engine quit, -, - but not actually "frying" the wires all together!
As for the "slowing problem, I would naturally check the fuel filter, but you also want to make sure that the fuelpump is putting out enough "flow, & Pressure" to give the engine enough fuel to speed up! My daughter has a Concord, - that would run, and then quit for no apparent reason! Finally found out that it had a bad "connector" down by the bottom of the firewall (where the fuel came up to the injection unit on the engine), - it would periodically slip back enough to let fuel squirt out on the ground, (and then not have pressure to inject fuel into the engine)! The engine would then quit, and the car slowed down to a stop, - then after a minjute or two the engine would start right up and run like it should, - sometimes for minutes, sometimes for days! The "jerking' of the engine made the hose slip back into place and it held pressure again! Three mechanics had looked at it before I got there, and I only found it by accident, - (it became apparent in the middle of 5:00 rush hour traffic)! We pulled off into a parking lot,-- and the car was Jerking and stopping then starting again, -- I got out and saw the gas on the ground, and from there figured out what was happening, -- it cost 80 cents for the new "clip" that held the (rubber)gas line secure to the metal fuel line from the rear! The car had been acting up "off and on" for over a month! So it doesn't take much -- if it is the right part!

What we predict of roughly our-self isn't our actual id ... we are already in hell ... in case you suspect in God who's all effectual who can do something then why he create wherein persons ought to die or exchange physique?? properly it does not recommend God do no longer make rules right here. regulation of Karma artwork right here ... we very own choose for our very own destiny ...the guy who acted badly get animal bodies in next lives and who acted stable is going to bigger planets .... what's injustice in this. As you flow on bigger planets extra stable souls stay their and extra is the age of person and extra potential and intelligence ...yet there is one yet another international the place their is not any beginning and dying and time does not exists there it extremely is the dominion of God. Now ask your self how stable adequate you're?? study with the guy who're stable then you definately nor with them who're much less clever...

check the vacuum line to the modulator on the transmission .. it could be cracked or popped off... or the modulator itself...
another problem that might cause that is a clogged/contaminated fuel filter
good luck

Your statement is too vague, but it sounds like a clogged fuel filter.
