This is not a situation I'm in--I just wanted to know how people would respond. I would not settle for someone I didn't love. There are worse things than being alone.

While I agree with your statement that there are worse things than being alone, at a point you have a decision to make, if you want kids. I love my boyfriend, and I would never want to be with anyone else, but if he broke up with me, and that was it, even if i still loved him, i would have to find someone else, cause i do want to have kids. I also think kids need two parents, so the sperm bank thing is out. Other than the kid thing, I'd rather be alone than with someone i didnt love - i would have to pick up a guy now and then for sex though!!

Never just settle for any man or woman if you don't care enough to know you love that person just pray about it ,you do have a soul mate out there so if you just settle, you lose in the long run.

No never settle...if you settle you might not be physically alone but you will be emotionally....everyone deserves to be loved and love to the full extent...I would never settle..

never settle for less. not saying you chase the one you love, but take the time to know yourself, and to know other people. And before you know it you may not love the one you thought.

If you can't be with the one you love, you have to ask yourself - does the one you love in fact love you in return? If they do, there's always a way to make it work.
If the one you love doesn't return that love, then you are fighting a losing battle - better to give your love to someone who returns it - you can never run out of love, there's enough of it for everyone.

No, I won't settle! In fact i haven't had a date in over 2yrs.(sad to say, but true), and i've been divorced for about 14yrs. I'd like to someday find and be with the one i love. Sigh...........But it just wouldn't be worth it to me, to settle.

yes if you don't want to be alone, but it also depends on what you're settling for if its just because they make less money,or they don't have the perfect body that is compromise but i wouldn't settle for someone who treated me bad

I never get involved in things i don't feel 100% about...
I've decided to never settle.

no..my heart only belongs to him until I learn to let him go emotionally....there is no point of dragging someone else into a one sided relationship.... why make the new guy suffer for a love that isn't his?...... I rather be alone
