I'm a Dale Jr fan, but I think that 3rd time is gonna be the charm for Jimmie Johnson and the Lowes team. This is their 3rd time being in the Chase and they have gotten stronger over the weeks.
Unless something insane happens...then Jimmie Johnson is your 2006 Nextel Cup Series Champion!

Though they say any one of the top 5 has a chance I'd bet on any of the top 3.If they are less than 100 points from the lead then they have a chance.
But to be a little more practical it looks as though Jimmie Johnson or Kevin Harvick will get it.

Jimmie Johnson. He has been in the top 2 the last 5 weeks. He also was the most consident driver.

Not a JOHNSON fan by any means, but i think that it is his to lose. Kenseth just isn't running well enough to be a factor, and JR. HAMLIN and HARVICK will need bad luck to strike the 48. Not a 48 fan, but the 500 and 400 in same year is really impressive

I think Johnson is uncatchable, but I hope that any of the other 4 guys that are mathematically still in it will win the cup. It will take some bad luck for Johnson for that to happen though and I think that his bad luck is behind him.

Who deserves it more than JJ? He has been the runner up 3 years running. He is a true champion and has a great attitude. He has worked so hard all year to get where he is today and I think that he will go into it next week and drive smart and end up with the cup in his HOTTTT little hands at the end of the race.
GO JJ!! 48 rocks!! (I am a total 24 fan but he is out of contention so go JJ!!!)

I'm a Jr. fan, but I have to say that I think Johnson is going to take it this year. I don't like him, but I have respect for him because he's a great driver. He's uncatchable this year, and I definitely think he's going to take the cup.

Probably Jimmie Johnson because all he needs is a 12th place finish but I really hope its Dale Jr. He needs a miracle to win but you never know
