Hendrix, of course. Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Paige were extremely overrated.

i saw jimmy page back in 75 at earls court.. seriously good... kashmir still makes the hairs on my neck stand up..

hendrix is a different sort of good...hendrix was the first and everyone else followed. clapton was really upset when hendrix popped it..he felt abandoned and alone on the road of rock n roll stardom.. but saying that he hasnt done too badly has he?

hendrix wasnt around long enough to turn out dross.. page is still around, living in aleister crowleys mansion somewhere in scotland, and in 30 years he hasnt turned out any dross either...

its only rock n roll

a very very hard question ... I guess you just can't say ... but if we do listen to what millions of people had to say about "the best guitar solo" than it would be Jimmy Page.

His solo on Stairway to heaven is voted all time No. 1 !!!

look at the link below, a great source for the worlds greatest guitar solos.

Tough call. Got to go with hendrix. He was just so raw and spontaneous.
