Don't read too much into the Beatle's lyrics. John Lennon, upon learning that his lyrics were being studied, wrote "I am the Walrus" just to mess with people. The lyrics were purposely meant to be nonsense. "Glass Onion" is another example. "Ob-Li-De, Ob-La-Da" however is a real phrase in India meaning life goes on. "For the Benefit of Mr Kite" was inspired by a circus poster. As much as The Beatles loved to play with words, there was a lot of truth in their lyrics. They just hated to justify what they were writing. I great response to creativity was voiced by the surrealist painter, Salvador Dali, when asked to explain his paintings.
