it all depends.....call local pavers (they do free estimates) and have them come out to your home. you want a base that is 3 inches any less your driveway will not last. also it depends on the soil you have...if there is a lot of clay it has to be dug out and stone added "knuckles" first then TB (about 1 inch or so in size) you NEED to have a good base before you can pave! if you don't the driveway will shift and heave causing cracks.

I agree that concrete is a better choice (gasoline eats asphalt). It won't last. But you asked for AC paving prices.
It's generally around $4 - $5/sf for unsealed (thin) driveways. Concrete is around $6/sf
You'll do the concrete job once and the asphalt drive twice in 20 years. Your choice.

Figuring costs for asphalt paving is very easy. The first step is to make sure you know the exact area you will be paving. Doing this is the most essential part. Then it is simply a matter of how much to buy, which is very easy to calculate.

James is absolutely correct. Another point that was not addressed it that asphalt oil will be in your home and ruin your carpeting as well. Unless you live in Japan and take you shoes off, plan to replace the carpet more frequently.
Concrete has it's downfall, which is cracking. But still much more desirable than ashpalt.
Good luck!
