my wife worked the first five years of our marriage. when we started having children she quit and for the past twenty six years she has been a stay at home mom. she likes it that way and so do i.

Men want you to think that they are capable/able to handle all the expenses and then some. But in truth, men respect women more when they work and are capable/able to help with the living expenses. Men want to feel that a woman could provide for herself if something were to happen to him or their relationship.

why wouldn't a wife want to work? i guess if you have children and want to be a stay at home mom, that's perfectly acceptable. i work more hours in a week than my hubby does.

If you can trust her it is alright to let her work.
It gives you more money to play with or pay some bill's off.

My husband wants me at home to care for him and the house. The children are all grown. I really like it.
