I work dual shops, one PC and a Mac certified warranty center, and, in 14 years, have never seen any malware for Apple, Mac OS X (BSD is another Unix clone), or any of the GNU/Linux Distros.

This year, over 83% of all major corporations have announced to the vendors providing Servors, and workstations, that they will be buying/using Macs, Linux on PCs, and zero Microsoft.

If someone were ever able to write a piece of malware for a Mac or 'Nix computer, that person would be an instant millionaire! They've been trying for almost 14 years, as reported by some security experts.

I take care of Macs for a living and I've never seen malware on one.
