The fuel pump suggested is a great place to start. Also there is a "hall effect" sensor in the distrubutor of those early 2.5 engines that can cause troubles as well with injection. They didn't use it on later models and often gets overlooked. It sends pulses to the computer as the distributor turns. Small sensor that mounts inside the distributor on the top of the reluctor and pickup coil, but under the rotor.

You have to make sure that your fuel pump is running. No fuel pressure, no spray. It needs at least 10 psi of fuel pressure to run properly. The power for the injector comes from a fuse, so make sure that you have voltage on one of the wires at the injector with the key on. The other wire goes to the ECM. The ECM grounds the circuit to make the injector spray. You can take a test light and some wire to jumper across the two wire terminals of the injector connector. Hook this up and then crank the engine. The test light should flash when cranking the engine. If it doesn't flash, you may have a wiring problem. One other possibility. If your vehicle is equipped with a distributor, the ignition module could be the cause. Sounds crazy, but it can happen.

The question is does it have fuel pressure? Those early year cars used a oil presure sw to send power to fuel pump. C k the three prong sw for 12- volts.sounds like a fuel pump problem if the rest is ok
