Demon-rats will have them home by New Years Day!

The dems were all about bringing them home prior to the election, but seem to be shying away from actual plans now that they have control. I do think the troops will be home sooner than if the Reps were still in control. Let's hope for some significant change and soon.

If you've ever seen a 10 year old try to pull a 100 pound rock out of the ground and fail, what makes you think his 9 year old brother can succeed?

I'm not slamming Democrats, I'm just saying the Iraq situation will go down as the most complicated foreign affair in history, stumping the best and worst our government has to offer. (No party link implied here regarding best and worst)

Go easy on the thumbs down, I'm just trying to restore some calm thought to the Politics section.

Well, I'm sure they will pull our troops out sooner but I don't know if I would call that progress or not

Nothing's going to happen...it'll be "Them vs Us" in every type of bill or idea brought forward.

The next two years won't see anything done.
