Do you prefer someone with street smarts or book smarts? Do you prefer to date college educated or does it matter? What about yourself? Are you college educated and expect the same? Was it much of a deciding factor when you met him? Feel free to go into detail.....

We're both attorneys, but he isn't too smart.

If I were single, I'd date a construction worker for good sex, and date a well-educated man for a long-term relationship.

When I meet my husband he was opposing counsel on a case. I thought he was a jerk. Professionally speaking, he makes a wonderful jerk. But he's a wonderfully smart jerk. On the personal side of things, he is warm, sensitive, and knows how to carry a coversation on most any issue. He keeps my attention sparked and alive. His eyes melt me.

I am not "educated" I guess and my husband isn't either. He does have a lot of common sense, though. If I was single, a man's education would not matter to me. If anything, I feel intimidated by intelligent men because an ex was smart and he treated me like I was stupid.

Um I thought he was intellegint then he told me he was an alcoholic and been proving both our stupidty (until I left him) his because he was just stupid mine for staying with him and believing he would change....oh yeah and yes it did matter cause I had to leave
