Marriage should have nothing to do with religion --> government decides it should though. OH WAIT... didn't GOVERNMENT put the idea of "SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE" into our country's framework, once upon a time?? Hell, these days you wouldn't know if they did or not the way they keep adding religous beliefs to their legislative BS. I don't want to hear those crappy politicians dictating who can put a ring on another person's finger. They have no place -- no right. And the priest is only involved with marriage as a union in the sense that they carry out the ceremony that reinstates what the government already carried out -- the civil service in which the couple getting married receives their official certification of marriage. And obviously, I am for gay marriage. A government that doesn't let peaceful, active, dutiful citizens be happy simply because of their sexuality will not be a stable government for long -- I can see the instability rocking the boat more and more each day.. can you?

I am for gay marriage. However, I just want to be equal and have the same rights in a legal relationship with whom I choose to love.
I am actually much more concerned that the government stays out of my bedroom altogether!!
P.S. Why do people like Immortality hang out in the gay section, for Pete's sakes?!!

I'm for gay marriage. I believe people should be happy. And George Bush makes no sense. He would rather see people getting killed in the war than seeing two men kissing.

I have no problem with it whatsoever. Everyone deserves equal rights to happiness and basic human needs, regardless of sexual orientation. I have no idea why some people are set off by the idea when there are so many dysfunctional heterosexual relationships on this planet. Many gay couples who desire to marry and/or have had commitment ceremonies are some of the most loving people out there.

Against. I'm against straight marriage also. However, if one is allowed, the other should be also. Gays should have just as much right to make themselves miserable as straights do.

FOR GAY MARRIAGE! Why? Because they're HUMAN! Come on, now.... DOGS can get married to each other, but a male can't with another male or a female can't with another female? What the F*CK!?! And it's all because of RELIGION, something I don't even partake in! That's just messed up...

i am for gay marriage. i wrote a paper about it for school. when i turned it in, my teacher read the title and said, very bold. i have yet to find my grade.

i think gays should be allowed to marry because as this one guy said "the desire for commitment knows no gender" and thats true.

I'm all for it.
There is nothing wrong with gay marriage, it is neither indecent nor immoral in any way.
