tell her to get lost everyone knows you dont go after someone your friend likes wether you are male or female this is a unwritten rule! She obviously dont care much about your feelings, some friend! Find someone who will treat you better than that! Good luck.

she had no right to do what she did and it isnt something a so called friend would do, but maybe thats the type of thing that she does to make her self feel good. I had a friend like that and everytime a bloke chatted me up she would try it on with him regardless of whether he had just bought me a drink or whether we had been together for 6 months!! She used to dress the same as me (i was a GB size 8 and she was a size16). I think a lot of it was insecurity and she didnt realise that she was doing something wrong because she was so wrapped up in what she was feeling.
People like this are pretty selfish. Find a new friend one that will respect you and not treat you like this.

These sort of people are where the saying "with friends like those, who needs enemies" comes from. The whole point of a friendship is not forgetting what the other says, and putting that persons feelings first, sorry hun she is not a friend let alone a best friend.

my mate did that with my ex- he didn't know we were mates but he rejected her in any case.
The fact she did it behind my back and while i was still on speaking terms with him and we were talking about odd things and people we'd come across during our break, he mentioned a girl. She happened to be my very good friend. I didn't tell him i knew her but i wasn't impressed with her since she knew we were on a break and who he was. I haven't spoken to her since 2000. I don't like backstabbers. She knew we'd get back together eventually but tried it anyway. That's not a nice thing even though he did not want to be with her!
She's no longer a mate of mine, even though she's married now- that attitude stinks

If your best friend was born in the same cot as you when you were born she'd still screw you over. The minute someone opens their mouth you got to think 'are they lying'. Don't let your guard down for a second with anyone.

If you never dated the man, there isn't really anything that you can do. It sounds to me like she had her sights set on this man the whole time. I would definetly tell her how you feel about this. Watch her around any man you may like, she may steal him.

It doesn't sound like she is much of a friend find a new one if you confided in her that you liked this guy she should have stayed away. Atleast until you had a chance to do something.

I'd be looking for a new best friend. Nobody should "forget" these things, especially when it comes to stealing the guy that you like.

Wave goodbye to them both. Neither one is worthy of your attention. Good riddance. Act like it doesn't bother you, ignore them and anything that is said, you are better off without this kind of friend.
