I got an ad in my email for a sattelite tv service for your computer advertising over 3000 channels for a one time fee of 49.95 with no monthly payments. Has anyone ever tried this and is it any good? It gives a list of "types" of channels, but never gives the names of any of them. Sounds too good to be true, but would appreciate any information about it.

Caveat emptor (Buyer beware). If you got this in your email and doesn't state how the company was referred to you (i.e. from a friend or another site), then you can fully expect that this is SPAM. As a rule, if you do business with a SPAMMER, chances are you're going to get hosed and it could even be illegal.

Nobody is going to give that many channels away for that price...Honestly I don't even think there are that many channels out here.
