How long does a perfumes scent remain "orginal"? Does it change with age?

it should be kept in cool temperatures and away from sunlight. they become stale or skunky after some time and does not have its same freshness. store it in its box in fact.
i had a ralph lauren perfume for 24 years and it smelled good even to the last drop, but did not have that magic scent to it ...

FragranceNet.com will give you the longivity of all their perfumes. I purchase White Musk by Coty perfume and it will last over 8 hours. It's different than Body Sprays and Body Lotions that last for only 3 or 4 hours. As far as the age thinggy, I've been using the same scent for 15 years and I don't notice any difference. At least none of my friends say I smell any diff.

If you keep it in the refrigerator, it will last forever. Whatever you do, don't let sunlight get to it.
