You mean a Resume. A general resume will be only one page long. The only thing you should put on a second page would be your References. Start with your name, address, phone numbers and email on the first four lines centered on top of the page. Make your name a slightly larger bold font. Then a few lines down list your job experience. Starting with your most recent job first. Then skip a few lines and list your Education background. At the very least, if there is no college, list where and what years you attended high school and when you graduated. Then you can list any specialties, i.e. equipment, machines or talents/experience that you have that would pertain to the job you are looking for. Last list at least three employer or business references. Each list should have the heading first. I.e. EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION, REFERENCE, PERTANENT QUALIFICATIONS.
Keep it short and sweet. Print it on a calm colored paper with print in Black and a size that is easy on the eyes to read.
The resume should catch the eye (you can use marbled paper or a distinguished font), be easy to read and easy to reference. Your resume isn't a place for humor, or kidding around. Any employer is going to want a quick read, an over view of you. If it is too wordy, it could go straight into the trash. If it is on really annoyingly bright paper or is in such a hard font to read, again it could be trash. Try to make sure you fill in any gaps in employment with explaination. I think that is about it. I know when I would hire people, I looked for a clean, short and sweet, easy to read resume. That is where I began my search. If the resume didn't fit into those categories than it was out. You could google 'sample resume' online and preview a format that you could use.
Good Luck! Happy Hunting! I hope this was helpful.

There are good web sites out there that give tips on how to write an effective resume. Many companies also require a cover letter which is a different thing altogether. While a resume shows your education and work experience, the cover letter is meant as an introduction to your resume and explains why you believe that you are a good candidate for the position that you are applying for.

You more than likely have Word or Word Perfect accessible to you if you have a computer. In Word Click on FILE and NEW. The task pane will show up. Click on TEMPLATES (or under Templates click on "On my computer"). A window comes up with different tabs. I believe they are under "Other". Choose the resume you want and just enter in your info on the template. Word Perfect should have templates also, but I'm not sure where to look for them. Use the "Help" option. Good luck!
