UCLA is competitive - you are right on the edge.

Here's a tip - go online to usnews.com and sign up for their premium service - I think it is $14.95 for a year.

There is a way to determine which schools are likely candidates for your application. In these days of $75+ dollar applications, the $14.95 is a good investment.

By all means apply to UCLA - but, also make sure you have several back-up schools to chose among if the Bruins fall thru.

good luck to you

UCLA currently stated that ~45,000 students applied for 8,000 slots. And those 45,000 kids are top scoring kids. You need to shoot for a 2,000+ SAT and lift that GPA to over a 3.8 if possible.

To make yourself more competitive, get involved in some community extra-curriculars. More than just being in a club, doing community service is a great resume builder that can set you apart. Specifically look for ways to involve yourself in your local government. There are often ways for kids to be involved.

sure. maximum likely is bound. With those ratings...that is quite severe. And, yet, they seek for different stuff too. not purely those ratings. they'll look at your college list, interview you...hardly ever for UCLA. And different stuff. yet in case you save your solid personality, you receives in. purely relax and flow with the flows you'll go by. even as that is over and also you're time-honored, all of it paid off. yet, sure, in many cases, they'll assist you in. solid success.

I don't see why not. They look at other things too like extra curricular activities and community service.

Not bad, but they will decide. APplications are not just grades...what else do you do? Volunteer work? Aspirations?
