Global warming is NOT a "natural thing."
Yes, our planet all on its own, for various reasons, does go through cycles of warmer and cooler temperatures.
However, in the last 150 years we have added many billions of tons of carbon in various forms (carbon dioxide in the air is the biggest problem) to the planet's ecosphere -- more than any "natural" cause in the history of the earth.
I very much want to leave a habitable planet to my children, so they can do the same for theirs. That means reducing humans' artificial climate changes which are causing a runaway greenhouse effect -- which is NOT natural.

The earth isn't going to "die" naturally for another 4.5 BILLION years or so -- why are you so relaxed about moving that deadline up by 4.9999 billion years?

"only" girl -- it's not a theory, it's well proven. You should keep up with science.

Global warming IS happening - no scientist disputes that. In fact, now very few reputable scientists dispute the fact that the current global warming is being caused by humans, and is happening at a much faster pace then ever before in Earth's history.

But we can fix it. If we do, Earth should remain a nice place to live for at least a billion years or so, probably more like 2 or 3 billion. By that point we will have found ways to get off this planet and colonize other worlds.

Huh? Yeah, we're all going to die but we don't have to speed up the process do we? Maybe we shouldn't worry about the natural speed of global warming but we should be worried about creating more polution. When you're 80 do you wanna be trying to breath through thick smog?

If you had a small cancer on the end of your nose would you say " we all got to die sometime"?
What it is all about is doing something. Do you want your children to inherit a ruined planet so we can drive around for no good reason. People are getting rich screwing my children out of their future.
If you don't care, that's on you. But don't expect everyone else to go out with a whimper.
