The sperm won't get washed away. They swim past your cervix and into your fallopian tubes fairly quickly.

But, for you to get pregnant, you would have to ovulate within less than 5 days of having sex (because that's about the maximum amount of time sperm can live for) -- so in this case, you would have to ovulate by cycle day 4 (cycle day 1 is the first day of your period). I have never, ever heard of anyone ovulating that early. Your hormones just don't have enough time to ramp up and get an egg ready to ovulate.

So if you are trying to conceive, you will need to have sex again in this new cycle. Every other day or about 3 times a week should make sure that you hit your fertile days, whenever your fertile days happen to occur.

no you cannot get pregnant if u have sex a day before your period arrives. The reason is b/c first off your cervix is closed at that time b/c your about to get your period. When your fertile it opens and when your not it closes. If its closed the sperm cannot get up inside you. secondly, U have to have fertile quality cervical mucus which u wouldnt have had since u were about to get your period. Sperm cannot get to an egg without the right mucus from u. also, u have to have sex 14 days before your next expected period to get pregnant. Sperm does live 5-7 days inside u under optimal conditions only. optimal conditions are basically, fertile cervical mucus.

Pregnancy is normally only possible when ovulating which happens about two weeks before your period, so it's unlikely that you will get pregnant this way. Wait for two weeks after your period stops, then have sex every other day- This ensure you still have active sperm inside you when the egg is at it's most vulnerable, and lets him build up supplies, every day would deplete the sperm, so every other day lets it build up again.

Yes! This is how my sister inlaw got pregnant. She kept timing her ovulation and obsessed with having sex around those times. So, she didn't take it as seriously when she had sex a day before her period--- and she never got a period after that! She conceived my beautiful neice. So chances are 50/50!

Well...its not like the conception takes place the second semen enters your body. Sperm can live in a female for about a week, so I can say Yes, its possible. You can get pregnant any day of the week-period or not.

No dear. You can not get prego if you got your period the day after you had sex.

If you want to get pregnant, do your research on when the best conception days of your cycle are - and have some fun!

Good Luck!

I would say yes because if the egg is there and the sperm finds it that should lead to pregnancy but if you get your period that is when the womb lining is expelled so the egg hasnt implanted and released the relevent hormone to stop the period.
