The best thing I found, besides giving up and crossing your legs at the ankles, is a good pair of panty hose, tights, etc., propping one foot on something to relieve some of the pressure on the thigh, or constantly fidgeting, crossing one leg over the other then switching multiple times in one sitting (but then the risk of flashing the room gets higher)

You could be retaining water. I don't think that means circulation problems.
Do you eat alot of salt? Walking can really help that. Even just a half hour each day.
Vitamins, and small amounts of vitamin E seem to help.
That's cute, what you're husband says, though. It can be pretty. All blushy...
