im not positive on the prices i got a mini along time ago (theyre not made anymore) but it was retailed at 250- i got it for free :)

in terms of the cost that matters what kind of ipod u want the choices...
new ipod shuffle- $79 (1GB) music, matchbook size
new ipod nano- $150 (2GB), $200 (4GB) $250 (8GB) music and photos, stack maybe 5 credit cards together and u ahve about the size and weight
new ipod- $250 (30GB), $350 (80GB) music, photos, video, movie, games
older versions of the ipods u usually would only find online
but the best place to buy an ipod is the apple computer store.. for locations look at my link
you can usually buy an ipod at best buy

there's the apple store at the northridge mall. in california. there are some places where they have it in a vending machine (?). i think it depends on what you get. i've seen some that are 100 or so and some that are about 200. it depends what you buy.

ipods are usually the same price EVERYWHERE.
