No I would give him enough morphine to make him comfortable until he died on his own. Giving him an overdose is murder and you could end up in prison or losing your license to practice at the very least.

personally,I couldnt take anyones life,but I can see what a hard decision that would be.My father passed away from lung cancer and got very sick before he passed away,but he went very peacefully and since he was on morphine ,he didnt suffer anyway,anyone termenal is given medication to keep them confortable ,even though you think they are in pain,I think the hardest thing for them is wondering if you will be ok,and they worry about your feelings of dealing with it all.

Only when it becomes too painful. What a beautiful time can be spent with someone during their last days really knowing and letting them know you. But if the end is inevitable, and living is too painful...
