From my personal experience, and my miscarriage was at 6 weeks, which makes a big difference.. I started spotting on a Saturday night, pretty much did nothing but spot until Wednesday. Wednesday night I passed some pretty sizeable clots. Thursday I had heavy bleeding. From then on it was like a normal period. I didn't require a DNC. And as I said, the further along you are the worse it would be. They told me not to worry as long as i wasn't soaking a pad an hour, I never did that the entire time. So, its really just different for everyone.
Good luck.

It all depends on you. I miscarried when baby was 6 weeks, and I never showed, we found out by ultra sound at 8 weeks, once I got a pill to get things going I bled heavy and spotting on and off for about 2 2 1/2 weeks. Sorry to hear about your loss.
