In my dictionary, "never mind" are two separate words and what they mean depends on the context in which they're used.
For example, you could say: "Never mind your mother; she doesn't know what she's talking about!" (which would mean ignore her, disobey her, don't pay any attention to her...) Or you could use it as a response as in: "What do you think of the state of the world?" "Never mind." (which means I don't care. I can't be bothered. Whatever.)

It is two separate words, even if its misspelled the meaning would stay the same.

As one word it is incorrect. It should only appear as 2 words.
