"you have to appear in traffic court on your day off, and if you work evenings or nights you do all your court appearances on your own time. The only pay you can get is a 10 or 15 dollar fee for testifying in court, if your court pays that."<~~~explain that please???

this was an answer by a police officer who spoke about even when your off dudy your really not of duty 24/7...and when you go to court to testify you CAN get $10 or $15 that IF they give you that im just not sure if thats what he means!

In NJ, the witness fee is $5

Subpoenaed witnesses are entitled to a witness fee, which varies by state and court. Defendants and Plaintiffs who are notified to appear in court, are not.

The money is only for food. In my state they pay $75
