Yes I would vote for her. Only because she is a Democrat and very smart. No she will not run for president. Read her book living History. In that book she tells how she has all the power she needs and wants in the Senate.

Hmmm. Interesting. First of all, I would vote for her. I am very pleased at her gung-ho attitude, and I know that what she says she will do will get done. And since health care is one of her most ambitious goals and we are approaching a time in which fewer persons are covered and the boomers, who would have relied on their pensions (the idea of which is almost a mythological legend), are getting older: therefore, needing increasingly more health care.

And is the United States "ready" for a woman? Please. That's like asking if we are "ready" for a person of color to lead the country. It's time that people STOP viewing "white" and "male" as qualifications for leadership.

Seriously. Many countries have had Queens (these are women in power), female prime ministers, etc. I cannot believe that Hilary being a woman is even an issue, except to say that it is SHOCKING that we haven't had a non-white, non-male president.

The rest of the free world must think we are very backward.

I hope she isn't nominated. I would like to see a Democrat in the White House come January 2009.

I always vote Democratic so chances are I'd vote for Hilary. I don't vote for the man (or woman) I vote for the party. Mind you, living in North Carolina makes the differences between the parties big. The moderate republican face has not shown up in NC in many a year. Now if it was Olympia Snowe, or John Chafee or even Arlan Specter, I might mull it over. But with Jesse Helms and Bill Cobey (one term GOP house member from the 4th district of NC who was a right wing nut job) the choices are pretty clear.

The interesting race would be between Clinton and McCain. Now that would give us all an interesting set of candidates.

I would not. Not that she would not be a good president. She's more than qualified. But she would polarize the country like nobody else. Peolpe are passionate in their likes and dislikes about her. The first President Clinton had a full time investigator scrutinizing every detail of his life in the hopes of finding something. Can you imagine President Bush or any other President facing that? The reason the extreme right became so powerful in the first place was because of President Clinton.
Basically we need a boring President. Somebody who can do the job without being a news headline every day.
Besides, if Hillary became President, can you imagine all the noise we would hear from Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, and whoever else. Nothing would be worth that.

of direction i could vote for Hillary, in spite of the reality that i wish she isn't the Democratic candidate, by way of fact maximum of people think of she is merely too liberal, and we want a Democratic candidate that can definitly be elected. anybody retains saying she and Condi Rice would be on the tickets. i do no longer possibly believe the two one will, even though it could be exciting to pay attention a debate between those 2 clever and correctly-spoken women folk. a minimum of we could pay attention some intelligence on the two sides of the value ticket, no longer in elementary terms like the Kerry and Bush debate, the place Kerry made Bush look like the moron he's. of direction, maximum 10 12 months olds could have carried out that. (No mirrored photograph against John Kerry, who's an somewhat clever guy)

Absolutely NOT! If she runs, I will definately not be throwing my vote away on her.

Ladies, this is going to make you upset, but, as a woman, I feel that we are way to emotional beings to be in a seat such as the presidency. We react with our emotions to almost all situations. Men react with different thought processes than we do. I don't think the USA is ready for an female president just yet. Maybe in the future when the men who have messed things up so bad clean their mess, then a woman could come in and really do some good for our country.

Until then, Hillary is out.

I can only imagine doing so if her opponent was Pat Robertson. It could happen I suppose. I hope I will have a better choice. If the Libertarian candidate was female she could probably do a good job, but I really don't think a woman will be elected in 2008. H. Clinton is the only one I know of who is close to ready, and I don't think the Dems are ready to take the chance on her. They want the most sure thing they can get. After all, their only platform is to beat the Reps and gain the White House.

She is a hard working, in truth, rather dull policy wonk, lacking in the considerable charisma her husband possesses. She would be a studious, no-nonsense President, but I doubt she could be elected, simply because we tend to want someone more exciting than she would be. But I would vote for her, because she really is a "grown up".
Given that Indira Gandhi, Bhutto (?), Golda Meir and Margaret Thatcher were elected and there have been many ruling Queens and Empresses, I think women can run a government at least as well as men can. Or as badly if it came to that.
The idea that women can be forbidden to have positions of power is very sad and sounds like it was written by very insecure men.

Yes, because she's already done alot not being president so imagine her being president. She's trying to get the soldiers that come injured from Iraq $100,000 instead of $10,000. She would make a great president especially since she was Bill Clinton's wife and was always with him she's had alot of experience. And yes it's ready to have a female president. Seeing as how we havent had one and how Hilary Clinton would make a great one.
