Whats the difference between the amber alert and a code adam?

is a code adam used in only walmarts? or is it any store?

Amber alert is a program that uses roadway signs , television broadcast and radio to announce that a child has been taken and for motorist and citizens to be on the alert......code Adam is a program that most public places use to help block down a store or event when a child comes up missing...it is used at all exits to prevent anyone leaving an area with a child that may fit the description......both are really wonderful programs as long as they are taken seriously and used effectively!!
I work in a grocery store that is NOT walmart and it is commonly used in many types of stores and public events!!

I think Code Adam is a system for finding lost children specifically in stores (like Wal-Mart) that use the Code Adam system. The Amber Alert is a public bulletin to announce a missing child; you hear it on the news on TV, radio, etc., anywhere.

The "Amber Alert" is a general alert put out, usually by the media, to alert Americans at large of a missing child.

"Code Adam" is a term used by Wal-Mart and its affiliates (Sam's Club, etc.) to announce to employees when a child is lost in the store. At this point the store goes on virtual lockdown while the employees look for the child.

Both involve missing children - but you will generally only hear of a Code Adam inside a Wal-Mart store.

Code Adam is usaully used in a store, the Amber alert goes out state wide to many different avenues, such as tv, radio, business faxes, health department, sherriffs department, law enforcement, ect.

Im not sure what a code adam is but an amber alert is when u have seen a suspect of kid nappong or whatever and oyu know what that person loks like. SOrry and please tell me when u know what a code adam is. Thx

British isn't English... British means you were born in Britain in general. Remember the UK is split into England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. So white English means you're pure English but you are still British at the same time. And the same for white Scottish, white Irish and white Welsh... even though I've never seen those on forms or anything haha. But they are all white British. Like me I'm English but I live in Wales (and I'm hated by the Welsh for being so) but I also have Irish and Greek in me too. But I consider myself white English. Hope it makes sense :)
